Windows Mobile Device Center: There is no email program associated to perform the requested action Problem description: This message pops up whenever Windows Mobile Device Center is installed and the client computer does not have Microsoft Outlook installed. Supported Operating System: Windows 7 32 & 64-bit versions Suggested fix: 1. Verify that their pc has Windows Live Mail installed. 2. Launch registry editor, then navigate to this key; HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\Windows Live Mail 3. Double click the DLL Path value, and copy the value data to the clipboard then click cancel. 4. On most systems, it's C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Mail\smapi.dll 5. Right click a blank area below the DLLPath value, and choose New and then Expandable String Value from the menu. 6. Type in DLLPathEx as the new value name. 7. Double click the DllPathEx value, and paste in the value from the previous step. 8. You may also need to set the default value at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail from Microsoft Outlook to Windows Live Mail 9. 64 bit versions of Windows also needs to do the same procedure under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Clients\Mail 10. You will also need to change the entries that contain Microsoft Outlook to Windows Live Mail at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\Windows Messaging Subsystem\MSMapiApps and at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows Messaging Subsystem\MSMapiApps.
